Seven Seals scores with three whiskies in Germany  

The single malt whisky Seven Seals Peated Port Wood Finish becomes "International Whiskey of the Year 2021", the Seven Seals Peated Double Wood and the Seven Seals The Age of Taurus win "Grand Gold"!  

Meininger's International Spirits Award ISW is one of the most important spirits competitions in the world today. With its tasting methodology, the competition sets new standards in the field of spirits evaluation. Based on the international 100-point scheme, the spirits are not evaluated comparatively, but individually according to appearance, aroma and taste by a jury of experts without any knowledge of the producer. Almost 200 whisk(e)ys from all parts of the world filled the glasses of the spirits experts - 59 of which were awarded a medal. 

Whisk(e)y still represents the supreme discipline of distillates for many spirits fans, and the category more than lived up to this reputation at this year's ISW Whisk(e)y Tasting. 

Seven Seals is pleased about this recognition at the Meininger International Spirits Award, which strengthens the team on its chosen path. It shows repeatedly that Seven Seals with its accelerated, ecologically and economically improved process, can produce excellent whiskies, which give much pleasure to various whisky lovers worldwide. 

The special award for the best product in the International Whiskey category is available: 

International Whiskey of the Year 2021 SEVEN SEALS PEATED PORT WOOD FINISH. 

The surprise of the year comes from Switzerland. At Seven Seals, a patented and well-kept secret for optimized acceleration of barrel aging has been making headlines in the whisk(e)y cosmos for several years. True to the credo "Time doesn't matter, taste matters," the goal is to be able to extract the aromas of a static barrel aging of ten and far more years in just a few years. Few details about the process are known, but the result is convincing all along the line with the Single Malt Port Wood Finish. Multi-layered peat smoke harmonizes with the heavy dried fruit sweetness from the port cask. There is still a lot of potential hidden in the Swiss.
